Sir Geoff Hurst unveils new facility for Charlton Rovers

Ex-West Ham United and England great Sir Geoff Hurst officially opened Charlton Rovers’ new facility on Saturday.

Hurst cut the ribbon to unveil The Tom Price Clubhouse – named after Rovers’ chairman Tom Price – at 12.30pm, before he signed football shirts and took photographs with the youth team players and local fans at the facility near Shipton Golf Club.

The World Cup hero resides in Cheltenham, and his presence on the day played a big part in drawing in hundreds of people.
